Mary’s ethos is simple – to translate each client’s needs into a tangible interior, and create functional, calming, elegant spaces which work with the architecture of the home and the spirit of the building. 

Mary's approach is also is a very personal and uplifting one, focused on listening and understanding how each individual client truly wants to live in their homes, guiding them through that process to fully interpret their needs, and then making it happen. She aims for the best finished result on every design project, while working within the confines of her clients’ budgets, timescales and brief.

She takes a collaborative and down to earth approach with all her clients, instilling trust and confidence in them, and creating practical, comfortable, stylish and calming spaces which allow for truly relaxing, living, working and playing. She believes true luxury is where everything comes together in a thoughtful and nurturing way. 

She also recognises it is a privilege to be allowed into her clients’ homes and lives, whatever the scale or nature of the project, and aims to provide a service of huge value - freeing up their time, and minimising the stress of having work carried out in their homes. Her ability to do so means she has clients who regularly return to her for second and subsequent projects.

Specialising in period and listed properties as well as contemporary homes, Mary will always aim to take a sustainable and responsible approach to her work, encouraging clients to re-use and re-imagine existing pieces, and to invest in quality hand crafted pieces which will stand the test of time.

How We Work - The Design Process

Our clients come to me for a number of reasons. Some may be overwhelmed by the choices available to them, or need an expert eye to pull a scheme together. Other clients may have a clear idea of how they want to live or the kind of space they want to create, but have insufficient time to source the right items, or to manage the installation. We understand that inviting someone into your home and asking them to design a scheme that reflects your own needs, tastes and lifestyle can be daunting.

Our approach is not about us imposing a repetitious signature style, or merely following the latest trends. It is about listening to and understanding what our clients are really trying to achieve, and guiding them through the design process to find the best possible way of interpreting that vision. We work within our client's budget and timescales, and with the architecture of the property, to create a space that is both inspirational and uniquely theirs.
